Originally there were no funds for this wonderful seal system at the Zoo in Leipzig . No reason not to construct this system said Mr. Stauche, Managing Director of the Sponsor Associationship of the Zoological Gardens e.V. Leipzig.

In order to finance this project exclusively by donations, with an admirable engagement this sponsor association collected a sufficient sum from engaged citizen as well as from different companies.

A successful team-work of different companies enabled the inauguration on April 4, 1998.
