Aquarium in the Zoological Gardens in Leipzig
This is the big ring aquarium of the Aquarium of the Zoological Gardens in Leipzig. Besides one other tank with tropical seawater fish it is the main element of the Aquarium. Having stepped up winding stairs the visitor enters the room and finds himself "within the sea". An impressing experience! Based on the ring structure sharks and other big seawater fish are enabled to swim nearly without frontiers - like in nature! Unfortunately, it is impossible to take a picture of the complete ring.
The second picture shows the aquarium ring in it's construction phase. A courageous enterprise, especially when taking into consideration that this aquarium was constructed within the GDR era. This was only possible with the ambitious action of all collaborators.
One more reason for us to be glad to have got the opportunity to optimize the aquarium technique with our technology.
